4 Python articles you might like
Hey there, it’s Erik-Jan van Medium.com. I hope you are doing well and staying healthy in these uncertain and frightening times.
I’m doing alright. I haven’t had much time for writing, because I’m balancing between a day job, homeschooling my two children, and staying healthy and sane. I do realize I have nothing to complain though. There are so many people that are working their asses off, and so many people losing their jobs at the same time. It’s really sad, but I’m convinced we’ll all come out stronger than ever! Let’s all just keep learning new stuff and, if you can, help those close to you or use your knowledge to do some good.
Looking back at the past month, this is what I wrote about:
Concurrency in Python
Yesterday I published an article about concurrency in Python. It’s been received very well so far. It’s nice to know people find value in what I write — through their claps, highlights, and comments!
6 Python project ideas
I also published an article with some ideas for Python projects, just in case you have some spare time while being locked up at home. It’s nothing earth-shattering, but perhaps there is something in there that inspires you to tinker with something new and unknown.
Improve Your Python Package Management With pipenv
I’ve written about virtualenv and pip before. Some of the comments on that article led me to write about pipenv as well. If you don’t know pipenv: it’s worth checking out. It replaces pip and virtualenv in an elegant way.
I’m writing a book
Oh.. and I started writing a book on Python. Say what?! Yup… it’s perhaps a little bit (too) ambitious. If you read my article, you’ll understand that even when it fails, I still have a lot of material to use for other purposes. So it’s win-win anyway. In my article, I also describe what technologies I use to write it. If you have plans to write a technical book or paper or something alike, make sure you check it out!
Thanks for continuing to read my articles.
